Description
The decor of this upscale contemporary
Cape features mostly brand new furniture (including all new mattresses & bedding)
& a collection of authentic Amish quilts. Immaculate throughout, the tone is one
of stylish simplicity & comfort, ideal for a peaceful vacation on Cape Cod. Mostly
air-conditioned. High-speed internet access & cable TV. Sited
on a secluded acre at the Harwich-Chatham town line near Pleasant Bay, this house
is a short drive to either downtown Chatham or the East Harwich stores, restaurants
and cinema. The beach on the bay is
less than half a mile from the house. Steps away is the access to the new Harwich
Conservation land along the Monomoy River. Main
floor: open floor plan with carpeting throughout. A comfortable new ultra suede
couch & two upholstered easy chairs grace the living room. Two wall air conditioners
serve this floor of the house. The small bedroom is used as study but also has
single day bed; not air-conditioned. Off the hallway is the bathroom with shower
and laundry. Fully equipped kitchen
(vinyl flooring) and dining area next to living room with cathedral ceiling and
skylights. Sliders open onto a large deck with lattice sunshade on east side of
house facing Pleasant Bay. There is a picnic table and grill on the deck. Slight
bay views through the trees. There is a two car garage. Second
floor: Hall bath with tub. Double bedroom not air-conditioned. Master bedroom
with bath with shower has wall air conditioner, queen-sized bed and sitting area.
Hall balcony overlooks living room. Lower
level: kitchenette; large second living room with TV & VCR adjoins alcove with
twin beds & bath with shower. The sleeping area can be closed off with folding
doors. Wall air conditioner. Sliders to beautifully landscaped, grassy lower yard
overlooking naturalized woodland. Library of videos and books. Beach
access: Easy access to public beach on Pleasant Bay half a mile away. Deeded private
beach next to public area. Limited free parking along Pleasant Bay at Bay Road.
